Competition Variation Consultation

This service is designed for serious ballet students preparing for competitions such as YAGP, UBC, WBAC, ADC IBC and other competitions, school auditions, and pre-professional evaluations.

During the consultation, Denis Gronostayskiy will help the student and family choose the most appropriate classical variation based on the dancer’s age, level, body type, technical strengths, artistic qualities, and competition goals. The goal is to select a variation that highlights the dancer’s best abilities while supporting long-term artistic and technical development.

The consultation may include:

  • Choosing the right classical variation

  • Evaluating whether the variation fits the dancer’s age and level

  • Reviewing technical strengths and weaknesses

  • Discussing musicality, style, and character

  • Advising on competition presentation and stage presence

  • Helping avoid variations that are too difficult or not flattering

  • Recommending coaching priorities before competition

  • Reviewing video material, if available

  • Creating a basic preparation plan for rehearsals and coaching

This service is especially helpful before registering for a competition, selecting repertoire, changing a variation, or preparing for an important audition or evaluation.
